Meet Grace’s New Pastors: Sal & Krystal Bono

Hello Grace Family,
On behalf of the Northwest District of Foursquare Churches and the Grace Church Council, we are excited to announce the next Lead Pastors of Grace Church: Sal and Krystal Bono!  Sal and Krystal will be appointed as Co-Pastors. Sal and Krystal currently serve at Grace Covenant Church in Cornelius, NC.  Sal is the Creative, Media, and Communications Pastor and serves as their Online Campus Pastor.  Krystal is the Spiritual Director and Fine Arts Director for Grace Covenant Academy, a school operated by Grace Covenant Church.  Sal and Krystal bring over 20 years of ministry experience and have served in many different roles – from being church planters and urban missionaries in inner-city Detroit, where Sal is from, to creative pastors, worship pastors, and youth and young adult pastors.  All along the way, they've mentored the next generation, helped churches grow, and connected with diverse communities.   

Sal and Krystal have four amazing daughters, Emma, Sophia, Olivia, and Nora, ages 21 to 10. Their daughters have been right with them on their ministry journey, bringing their own creativity and energy to the mix. They can't wait to dive in and share the love of Jesus together as a church!

 
 

FROM THE GRACE CHURCH COUNCIL

One of the Church Council's duties of stewarding church resources is aiding pastoral transitions. Through this process, we worked with Foursquare district supervisors to develop a church profile and a description of a pastor who would best fit our church's needs. Significant prayer and discussions went into this process. The district supervisors found Sal and Krystal and presented them to the council. We met with them, got to know them better, asked questions, and heard their heart and visions. Again, after much prayer and discussion, we believe they are the called people of God to lead our congregation. We know that this has been a long process but be assured it was not taken lightly. We are excited for Sal and Krystal to be part of our family and for us to be a part of their vision and passion that God has put on their hearts for Grace Church and the community at large.

 
 

A MESSAGE FROM THE BONOS

Grace Church Family,

We are overjoyed to share that we are following the Holy Spirit's leading to Federal Way and stepping into the role of Lead Pastors at Grace Church! This decision has come after much prayer, and we are trusting God every step of the wayas we transition from North Carolina to Washington. 

We can't wait to meet each of you in person and start this new season together. Please know that you are already in our prayers, and we are looking forward to becoming a part of this amazing community. 

Our family is also excited to join you! We'll be making the move with our four daughters: Emma (21), Sophia (16), Olivia (14), and Nora (10). They are all looking forward to making new and lasting friendships at Grace. 

As we prepare for this transition, we ask for your continued prayers, especially that God would open the door to the right home for our family and that our move would go smoothly. Please also pray for wisdom as we begin connecting with the staff about this upcoming Christmas season and all that God has planned for Grace in 2025.

We are thrilled to be joining you and can't wait to see what God has in store for the future of Grace Church!

WHEN ARE THEY COMING?

Sal's first Sunday will be November 24th, and he will be back and forth for a few weeks until the whole family arrives by Sunday, December 22nd.  


Please be praying for the Bono's as they embark on this 'in-between' season, where they will be finishing well in North Carolina while working towards moving across the country.

We are excited for this next season as a church family!
