a place to belong

Our Story

Our church community represents people from a wide range of ethnic, racial, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds. We believe that our triune God models perfect unity (Deut. 6:4) and diversity of roles and giftings (Matt. 3:16-17), that God created us for unity within diversity (Gen 1:28), that sin has and cotinues to move us further away from God’s original design, and that a relationship with God is for every person from “every nation, tribe, tongue and people” (Rev. 7:9).

A Multicultural Church in a Multicultural City

Our Values

  • We believe in the power of prayer.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” —Philippians 4:6-7

  • At Grace, you can be yourself. We are real people experiencing the real Jesus. We are not here to try to impress anyone, we’re here to learn, grow, and honor God.

“Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.” —Ephesians 4:25

  • We love to be in God’s Presence.

“God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” — John 4:24

  • Both personally and regionally, we believe that we are here for one another and we are here for this city. At Grace Church, no one stands alone.

“And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.” - Acts 2:46-47

  • We are committed to grow in Jesus’ teachings, pursue Christ like character, and pour into other people’s lives.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” - John 13:34–35

Grace & Foursquare

Our church is part of the Northwest District of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. The term “Foursquare” stands for the four-fold ministry of Jesus Christ as the Savior (Romans 10:9), Baptizer with the Holy Spirit (Luke 3:16), Healer (1 Peter 2:24), and Coming King (Acts 1:11).

The International Church of the Foursquare Gospel was founded in Los Angeles, California, by Aimee Semple McPherson in 1923. Since that time our denomination has grown from one local fellowship to nearly 2000 churches in the United States and Canada. The Foursquare Church has also been established in over 110 countries around the world. These numbers are rapidly increasing.
