An invitation to fasting for breakthrough

Hey Grace Family,

In case you missed it on Sunday, we announced a call to a corporate fast and prayer over the next several weeks. Sal and I both have felt the pull of the Holy Spirit to fast and pray for many of our Grace Families. We believe in the power of God, that we are stronger together and are asking you to join us.  Please read the announcement from Sunday below.

In Mark 9:29 He replied, “This kind can come out only by prayer and fasting.”

Over the last several weeks, the Lord has been speaking to our hearts about coming together in a corporate fast.

Several of our families here at Grace have been and are still facing some real giants— whether they are financially, physically, mentally, or emotionally. But we serve a big God, who is greater than those giants.  We have just spent several weeks talking about the church and how we are called to come together for one another when we need to. At Grace, we believe that no one stands alone, and there is power in unity. We believe that through this fast and prayer, we are standing in the gap for a breakthrough for our families here at Grace.

We aren’t fasting so that God can do something; He is already all-powerful. Prayer and fasting serve as a reminder to our spirit that we are dependent on Him. More of God and less of us. We fast to strengthen our faith, trust, and reliance on God. Some situations require more than our own human effort.

They require a deeper level of faith, trust, and true reliance on God. As a leadership team, we are committed to fasting on Wednesdays, and we invite all of you to join us in this practice. If you are unable to fast for an entire day, would you please commit to fasting a meal and praying for 1 hour? We believe we are going to see huge breakthrough.

Also, we want to hear from you during this time. If you are facing something and need a breakthrough, you can email fasting@gracechrch.com, and we will pray and respond appropriately as a team. As you begin to see a breakthrough in your life, we want to hear all about it. Please email your testimonies of God's goodness to the same email above. We believe in the power of prayer and all that we are going to see happen over the coming weeks.

Sal and I love each of you and are praying and standing with you as we walk this journey together in faith.

Blessings,

Pastor Krystal
